The 2008 Emmy nominations were announced today. The HBO miniseries John Adams received the most nods with a total of 23 nominations. AMC's Mad Men and NBC's 30 Rock, my personal favorite shows, received the most nominations for a drama (16) and a comedy (17), respectively.
Mad Men, along with FX's Damages made history, becoming the first two basic cable shows ever to be up for best series, both doing so after just their first season.
I'm disappointed that The Wire was nominated for only one (ONE!) award. But I take comfort in the fact that that horrible excuse for a medical drama, Grey's Anatomy, was "snubbed" as well.
Meanwhile, Two and a Half Men continues perplex viewers by receiving nominations.

3 Katharine Hepburns:
Grey's Anatomy deserved to be snubbed. I used to watch it religiously but I got sick of the childish back and forth-ness of it. I hope Dexter wins best drama!
Words cannot describe how much I hate Grey's Anatomy. Between that and Private Practice, I think Shonda Rhimes has created some of the most pathetic female on television...
Never actually saw Dexter but my money's on Mad Men to win Best Drama
This is what I think: Emmy 2008
